COMMON TREE QUESTIONS
-
When should I prune my trees? In short, the Winter. Pruning during the Winter allows the tree to gear up for growth when spring hits. If the tree has already been pruned, it will allocate resources in the right areas ahead of time. During the summer trees are best left to their own devices unless there are issues with clearance, safety, or regulation.
-
Why should I hire an Arborist? When work is performed on a tree, an arborist should be performing that work. Trees can be very sensitive to treat and very dangerous to maintain. Arborists are equipped to offer their expertise exercising proper standards and practices. Beyond safety and knowledge, Arborists are required to issue permits for tree work that needs to be performed that requires municipal permission.
-
Do I need a permit to remove or work on this Tree? Each municipality or county has their own codes and regulations on what does and does not need a permit. An internet search will usually point you in the right direction. It's important to consult an Arborist in this process to avoid pitfalls and roadblocks.
